Mega-Grant Awarded to Professor Noda

The Department of State awarded $9.6 million dollars to Ohio State professors Mari Noda and Galal Walker to implement the Critical Language Scholarship program in East Asia. They will establish four intensive language and teacher training programs at centers in China, Indonesia, Japan and Korea. Professor Noda is a member of the ALLEX Academic Board, ALLEX Professor of Performed Culture, and a long-time instructor in the program. She is Academic Director of OSU’s SPEAC, a program which has served as a training ground for ALLEX incoming teachers for many years.
