Below is a list of the more than 160 current and former partner institutions that have participated in the ALLEX/ExchangeJapan program. Some institutions join the program for six to eight years before eventually establishing their own Asian language line. Some have created tenure-track professorships after using ALLEX to establish the initial language program. Most institutions, however, are smaller and do not have the means or the desire to create full-time positions in Chinese or Japanese, and thus continue to rely on ALLEX for many years.
Several institutions have been with our program for over fifteen years and continue to invite instructors to support or run their Asian language programs. These institutions include Slippery Rock University, Portland State University, University of Southern Indiana, Texas Tech University, and others.
